Fun fact, the original ending of the movie was supposed to take place from the POV of Ava looking
at the pilot, except instead of human vision and sound the viewer would have seen point clouds
and facial recognition algorithms tracing over them. When the pilot opens his mouth all that
would be heard is a low monotone pulsing sound.

Me being an efficiency whore who looks at everything as numbers and causality the advent of AI in
the near future is mortifying because stupid people will undoubtedly get their hands on "it" and
make something catastrophic like this.

It's not absolutely amazing, but it's pretty darn good. I'd say 7/10 or so. It's definitely much
much better than the average sci-fi schlock these days, even if it doesn't really break new
ground.
Personally I also really appreciated how it took a restrained approach to cast, shooting
locations, and even special effects, a nice counterbalance to the other crap I usually see in
theaters.
