  US basically cheated. Japan raped everyone they fought against, Pearl Harbor was a desperate move
  of a country who was about to run out of oil in the middle of a war and end up turning from a
  world power into a bunch of dudes isolated on an island. Such desperate attack was even foreseen
  by the local newspaper 2 weeks before the attack.
  I guess the US didn't even care about the newspaper or was doing it so they could kill tens of
  millions of civilians without anyone criticizing them.

  I remember reading something about important US cruisers being moved out of Pearl Harbor before
  the attack for a training exercise. It's such a convenient coincidence that maybe the US did know

  Y'know the anime doesn't really glorify this shit right? I watched it myself, and it actually
  tells the "war stories" of a few made up characters. If anything, the message seems to be more
  like: "Man, World War Two was shitty." I gotta admit though, this edit is pretty hype (Although I
  don't really agree with WW2 Japan's "You'er gonna die for your country and you're gonna like it!"
  mentality.)
