am unsure how to make a save directly on my laptop

Next time it appears on here, you can take the code in the options (don't remember how) and copy
paste it in an offline copy like on Steam or something.

4chan doesn't save anything (besides the swf, you can get it from the swfchan archive).
Your save file is in fact on your laptop. It's bound to the website, but you can just grab it
from that folder and move it to localhost (opening swfs locally).
Just google the path on your system, most likely %AppData%\
It's a .sol file, if that wasn't clear.
