I got to "Let's try out!" and then nothing I pressed did anything.

  Pretty sure that's the point.

All the equations, bar maybe the negative root of negative one, take an infinite number of steps
to calculate. When a computer tries to to calculate them it gets stuck in a loop until you
  manually kill it.

  Guess they weren't kidding.

Only 1+1+... is infinite for computers. When they try other calculations included here, they get
  sqrt(-1) = NaN, 1/0 = infinity and 0 to 0th power = 1.

1/0 is also infinite for computers, but most OS have fail safes built in to catch it before it
can completely lock down a cpu core.

i learned more about math from this game than all of highschool taught me

  >1/0 is also infinite for computers
No, it isn't. Division is always an O(1) complexity operation, and IEEE 754 defines the possible
  outcomes of division by zero.

There is no case where the transistors involved in the hardware division instruction can be
  thrown into an infinite loop.

That sounds like a challenge. Do I have to do it using only division operations?

I thought computers divided by subtracting the the bottom from the top and counting the amount of
times it takes to get to zero. so if you divide by zero it would just keep subtracting zero from
  the number on top
