Posting one of the first things I made, just cleaned up a bit
Good morning/good evening /f/rens, let us talk about our general displeasure with the state of
things.
Recipe: fast and sloppy goyza
lettuce/cabbage/ whatever you got but make sure is at least 4 cups worth of leafy bits
good hunk of ground pork at least 8 oucnes (go for 1lb better to have extra right?)
1Tbsp ground ginger
3 garlic cloves minced
2 Tbsp green onion sliced thin
3 tsp miso paste (azn marts should have this) go for a darker paste like aka
some sugar, if I had to guess its prob a tsp? maybe less I never measure that part...
crushed chili peppers or sriracha a tsp of either
splash of rice wine vinegar
dumpling wrappers (again azn mart) get like two big bags idk
Take all that and put in in a bowl, mix it and stuff.
lay lil dumplin circle/triangle/square down
(I like the circles)
plop mixture in middle
wet finger and run around edges
fold wet bits into each other
seal by either pinching or crimping with fork
Get a semi deep pan with a lid,
add 1-2 tsp sesame oil
set dumplings in hot pan
after browning bottoms for 2-3 min depending on thicc
drizzle a touch more oil over
add a splash of water to the pan enough that it doesn't just boil off
(try a few Tbsp)
place lid on and let steam for 2-3 min
remove lid and toss em around for a min or so until they are coated in delicious pan oil
make sauce: ->
Gyoza dipping sauce
1/2 C rice wine vinegar
1/2 C low sodium soy (trust me use low sodium) otherwise its just saaaaalllt
1/4 C water
3 tbs
2 Tbs ginger grated or One large thumbish or so piece whole (chopped)
3 gloves garlic
1/2 cup sliced green onion
2 tsp sesame oil
sriracha to taste 1-2 tsp for beginners
Mix all the above together in a sauce pan, bring to a very brief boil and set aside to cool.
Enjoy your weeb trash

much love to you, too
but I must confess, I've never read a single recipe you wrote
but maybe if you'd put them in that flash I told you about :-}

I was toying with the idea of a cooking mama based loop that would go over a recipe
but just having the text scroll by seemed lame
so that's in the works.

The general state of things is dis-pleasurable. Very much so. Stay chill man. You have some cool
taste.

I'm still angry
Also, I tried making a flash loop, but music wouldn't play, any ideas? I followed the
instructions in http://swfchan.org/1922/ but exporting the flash brings up a "Your content will
not stream" and something about Runtime Shared Library. Using Flash Pro CS6 btw

I got nothing
does it work when you do the preview? ctrl+enter
if it works there but not after its a problem elsewhere
I'm not an expert

Keep up the comfy loops please!
The recipe sounds way too tasty, sriracha is my lifeblood. I'll try this out when I have time.

>"Your content will not stream" and something about Runtime Shared Library
I'm guessing you went and added sauce text below the canvas as per tradition (or some other
text?) - you very likely have the text properties set to TLF text. (which it shouldn't be, it's
just a static text label, and should have the font embedded in the .swf).
Because of that, Flash looks for a compiled .swz for the font and layout info, and of course you
don't have one for it in Flash's classpath, so you get the Runtime Shared Library error.
If this is your case, you can go check the Properties panel for each text label, and see that the
text engine (top setting) is "Classic Text", not "TLF Text". Just below that, make sure the text
type is set to "Static".
ctrl+Enter to test the movie, and you should have it then.
Also, do yourself a favor and get Flash tuts _anywhere_ else other than swfchan. Not a rub on
swfchan, it's an amazing archive, but the infos and tools are... well, lacking and
lamer-enabling. Google for authoritative and comprehensive sources like Lynda, O'Reilly, or Adobe
itself (not as good as the rest!)
Maybe one day soon I'll put up an /f/-centric tut/crafting/resource portal for those who want to
do _real_ /f/ Flash. Maybe we can combat the horribly wrapped Tubes and Vines.
Carry on, and make great Flash.

oops, forgot to mention, you COULD just set the linkage for your text objects that use TLF, but
then again, you'd have to have a way for your compiled flash to access the generated .swz file,
which is basically a no-go for /f/ distribution.

Still waiting on that.

God, I love Hot Chip.
They've been basically making the same album for over 13 years, but it gets better each time.
