While this is definitely one of my favorite songs I've found through /f/, every time I watch it
two things come to mind:
1. This probably comes off much differently without the video.
2. Why the fuck does everyone give a shit about some sand in the middle of nowhere, anyways?

That's the point of the video, showing that war is what happens when two or more different groups
of people follow what the song preaches blindly instead of learning to live with each other, or
at least working out an agreement.

Because It's a symbol. Besides, until not so long ago control of Israel/Jerusalem was something
that came with control of Constantinople which is far from "some sand in the middle of nowhere".
