Did the newest update to Flash Player break it for anyone else, or is it just me?

sure it's not your browser? they are on an unholy crusade to kill of flash for no reason. if you
are on firefox you need to download their ESR version

I'm on chrome, and outside my browser my computer seems to think that Flash never updates. Still
can't run things like Birdmania Reach despite that being super old.

if you're on chrome i'd be even more suspicious, google have wanted to kill flash for very long.
it never really suited their tracking needs. as always i strongly suggest not using chrome, they
openly admit to spy on their users
to update flash outside of your browser you need to install activex flash ("for internet
explorer"-flash as i think adobe says on their homepage)

I run chrome and this page runs just fine after i fixed it. It use to just download the flashes
instead of playing them but there is a setting in Chrome that allows websites to play flashes.
Settings-advanced-content controls-flash-put slider to yes-restart chrome.

Problem still persists. I tried using firefox and all it does is have me choose what program to
use to open a swf with.
Choosing chrome prompts me to just save it.
Choosing firefox prompts me to open it with another program continuously.

I'd heard of other people having this problem, then one day out of the blue it happened to me
Other sites will prompt for flash, but never here

did you download the ESR version of firefox like I said? regular firefox cant even install the
flash plugin
>> [_] Anonymous 11/16/17(Thu)07:47:08 No.3294952
>>3294951
me again. i just got "This plugin has been blocked for your protection." in my firefox esr.
pissed me off something immense, luckily it was just because the plugin was updated yesterday and
i had to restart the browser to reload the new version of flash
firefox is extremely up its own ass about flash though. i mean instead of writing that gestapo
message how about writing something human like "please restart firefox to update flash"? the day
flash stops working in firefox ESR is the day I cant use the browser any more

Flash works on firefox now, but it is terribly slow. Is this normal for firefox?

yeah, I've tried turning on flash / allowing it on chrome and it's still not working

flash should work like flash works, i wouldnt say its normal for it to be slow in firefox. though
maybe that have sandboxed flash in some weird way in new ff, causing it to slow down. what do i
know. i wouldnt think so though since they are more keen on forgetting about flash instead of
fixing it, because it would take effort.

it in a new window
>> [_] Anonymous 11/16/17(Thu)12:02:12 No.3294993
it's a witch hunt honestly. google and mozilla are treating their users very disrespectfully by
enforcing limitations on flash in this way. just because the majority of people doesn't use flash
on a regular basis it doesn't mean they should shit on us that still make use of it every single
day.
this is especially true when they said flash would work up until the end of 2020, clearly they
are pushing people away from flash by force so that in 2020 when there aren't any options people
have already become docile.
