This video is of Elisa Lam.
A young Chinese Canadian woman of 21 years old who was on a vacation in the United States.
She was visiting a few different places on her trip (including Las Vegas) but at the time of this
video she was in Los Angeles staying at the Cecil Hotel.
This elevator footage was taken at 12:00am midnight the day before she was supposed to checkout
and leave the hotel.
Earlier that day she was spotted at a book store and the owner said that she had bought gifts to
bring back to her parents and spoke with him in a normal manner and did not appear in poor mood.
Lisa did have bipolar disorder and had suffered from depression and other mental issues in recent
years prior to this fatal incident.
The day after this footage was recorded the hotel staff entered her room due to her failing to
check out and found all her belongings still there.
Her parents concerned over the fact that their daughter did not call them as she did on a daily
basis contacted the police who started a thorough search. They found nothing except this odd
elevator footage from the night before her disappearance.
Weeks later residents of the Hotel complained of poor water pressure and dark, discolored water.
A handyman was sent to the roof where he discovered inside one of the hotels 2 large water tanks
Lisa's already badly decomposed body floating face-up in the water.
To this day it is still a sad mystery.

The guy is pretty intelligent and did a few separate video's about this awhile back and they are
done really well and have alot of weird/interesting stuff/info in them.
Combined they are really thorough and are probably by far the best investigative videos on the
case if you have interest in it.

Someone who had access to the tank killed her and tossed her in or the bolts werent attached at
the time. I didn't hear about it being bolted down until just recently. Before the word used was
'locked' which can mean a worker forgot to check the tank before realizing it wasnt locked ie she
was able to fall in on her own being in the middle of a manic state and likely very impulsive.
Either way its not creepy at all when you consider she was mentally ill and was likely to behave
strangely on camera.

From what I remember I don't think it was bolted down or even locked but getting onto it in the
first place, twisting and opening the heavy hatch and then getting inside while also sealing
yourself in all while being deeply visually impaired (as she was without her glasses) doesn't
sounds like it would be easy even if it was possible.
But even assuming it was physically possible it is obviously a very strange way and place to go.
