1. Install adobe flash-projector for Linux
2. Extract application file into your /usr/local/bin directory
3. Make flashplayer the default program for .swf files
took me too long to decipher the Linux file structure.

1. download tarball from get.adobe.com/flashplayer
2. extract
3. put flashplayer.so into relevant browser path (something like /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins)
4. your browser now has flash even though you run linux

Fedora with the cinnamon DE. this should work with any standard Linux distribution however.
