Dude, I think it's standard by now, no matter who you are no matter where you are supposed to
apply, that is unless you've got connections.
I studied Maritime Transport, I applied to Maritime Transport Companies, I also had to fucking
pester them for months because the market is shite. Work is outsourced to cheaper nations, it's
fucked.

I promise you, having spent a full year looking in vain for jobs, I feel your pain. I also
implore you, please don't give up. You have options other than acquiring a job if the classic "go
out there and apply for everything" isn't working out for you. This is the time to:
1) Become self-employed in some capacity. Whether it's doing something on Fiver, being an
Uber/Lyft driver, or even learning to draw commissions for rich autists on DeviantArt, there is
high demand for a person in your particular position. You just have to put yourself out there and
figure out what people want that you can provide.
2) Volunteer for anything and everything. This is how you make connections that could quickly
lead to legitimate jobs.
3) Do some combination of 1 and 2.
Do you like vidya? The game dev generals over at /vg/ are always looking for folks who want help
from ideas-guys, artists, and programmers, of all skill levels. Maybe that's not your thing, but
off of the top of my head that's one resource you can immediately tap into, right now.
