  The animation is a joke, but what's really funny is that Stephen King used a similar idea as
  inspiration for the Black Tower books. It wasn't explicitly described in the books (at least not
  the ones I read), but he wrote in essays (a foreword or preface or something, I forget what) that
  the universe of the gunslingers was a part of dead grass clippings in a higher universe: the
  galaxies and superstructures of that universe combined into quarks and subatomic particles in the
  higher universe (y'know, like that marble in Men in Black) and those galaxies happened to be in a
  bit of dying waste matter.

  But you're telling me that a molecule of water inside me dies when I die? I drink and perspire
  and pee water all the time. An electron in a molecule of water barely interacts with any other
  molecules; I doubt it can sense whether it's in a cloud or under the ocean or in a dead corpse.
  Same with the carbon and nitrogen that make up any organic matter. "Living" is a property of the
  extremely complex aggregate of matter that makes up a body, not a property of every bit of matter
  in the body. You can grow bits of cells in a petrie dish if you provide the exact nutrients they
  need. If the life of a cell is independent of the life of the whole body, how can the "life" of a
  molecule be tied to the life of the piece of grass that contains it? King's idea is kinda dumb.

  You're not ripping the eyes out of oxygen, you're literally adding a part of yourself (Carbon) to
  the air each time you breathe.

  Plants don't build their bodies out of the soil, but from the carbon dioxide you breathe out in
