Egoraptor was awesome, until he started hating on the games that made him famous.

The saddest part was actually seeing when he fell from grace, I watched pokéawesome 2 and it was
the first thing he'd ever made that didn't make me laugh or even giggle. It's sad to see because
sure he makes more money now and he laughs a lot but I just don't get the same happy Arin vibes
from when he was doing something he really liked. I don't think he's as happy as he used to be

I was interested in getting into 2D flash animation before I really love it was learning wanted
to move from just doing illustrations, but seeing how it's getting more and more in the "niche"
like stop motion it's getting harder to make a name for yourself now. I can't say I blame him and
others moving into vlogs, podcasts, and making youtube content. Youtube and google focus on the
demographics that trafficks the more popular videos now. Maybe they'll change it or maybe not...

yeah. hey if you like 2d and flash animation, definitely check out sleepycast. it's got a regular
rotating cast consisting of psychicpebbles, oneyng, stamper, ricepirate, spazkid/chainsaw
dentist, among others, and ego was a guest once. they kinda put it on hiatus, but they might
release an episode like once a year or something now. it's a fun ride, man, it helped me through
my hell job, listening to all of them

wouldn't having flash be a niche audience make it easier to make a name for yourself? you'd have
a small dedicated group of people watching whatever new comes out simply because it's the only
new stuff out.

I've tuned in to their casts episodes I like their amazing flash animation work.
>>3328273
Yes it is.
I apologize if I'm criticizing the software. If people still use it and can still gather an
audience then I guess I was badly misinformed. I just don't see users on their stream use it
mostly except I see animators using tvpaint, toonboom, and sometimes opentoonz.

oh you actually follow them quite closely. I've never watched an animator stream them making
something, I'd rather watch their finished animation or interact with the end flash widget/game.
i suspect those alternatives are either free or lower in price than flash, which runs on a
subscription model. I know that there's some people who still run the macromedia 8 program before
adobe bought the company and it's probably possible to get a copy of flash CS6. aside from that I
wouldn't have the guts to stream video of me using software that I've pirated so that might
contribute to lower stream counts. also since flash is depreciated I can't blame artists for
moving to a different program; although I think it would be dumb to transition to a different
program if they distribute their works in video format since flash can export to video.

Not closely but I listen to their podcast from time to time. And I don't watch their stream of
them making a flash animation the last famous flash animator I saw was egoraptor, when he was
making that halo flash cartoon. But yes waiting for the finished product is better.

True you can if your lucky to find a nice copy at a reasonable price. I have CS6 though. So I'm
fine with what I use it for.

Hmm well to each their own or whatever is their preference to export or save.
Have a good night.
