  it has great flow, the black things are an interesting touch to make the game more visually
  appealing, but like it was said before, they get in the way of gameplay. Maybe turn up the alpha
  on those particles or make them translucent and it could help. Also, maybe make the character a
  tad bigger, so that it can be distinguished

  When you make a full game, just remember, CHECK POINTS. Going through the majority of this one
  screen level in an attempt to get to the top block and failing, thus having to go through the
  entire level (which poses no challenge) all over again? Not fun.

  The jump is wayyy too fast. To have the coordination to get to the last three blocks is just
  incredible, to say the least. Plus you cant turn around in the air, which for such a simple game,
  is pretty shocking that you left it out.

  It's better than anything I could do in AS3, I haven't even tried learning it yet. Keep tweaking
  the controls until they feel right and then you can add objectives and stuff.

  The horizontal movement makes no sense in proportion to the vertical movement. Think about how
  things move through the air. If something is jumping up and in a direction, their horizontal
  force will match their vertical force to some extent. you barely jump that high, then ROCKET OFF
  to the side, which messes people up. Either increase vertical jump length or decrease horizontal
  jump length, because right now it is too much.

  OP, your control is for you to decide, the entirety of a platformers character comes from it's
  sense of control and how the character moves in relation to how the player moves.

  On another note, your sense of level design is pretty fantastic if you whipped that setup up
  quickly. You have the quintessential beginning experiences for a platforming game, as well as a
  somewhat built in checkpoint whih the way it wraps around itself (yes it only saves you two
  jumps, but there's only three more after that to make it back to where you were). The small
  design is conceptually very good, and I hope the rest of the designs are as powerful.
