it was exported using flash version 7, judging from that it was probably made somewhere between
2003 and 2005, but of course it could have been made later than that as well. but it couldnt have
been made before 2003.

that is NOT a flash file, it's a FutureSplash file, which was flash's predecessor. in late 1996
Macromedia bought FutureWave and FutureSplash Animator became Macromedia Flash 1.0. today's flash
player can play .spl files (which is why you can view the animation in the link i gave).

The name "Flash" was thought up by contracting "Future" and "Splash". I always thought they just
picked a good name but turns out there's some logic in it as well.
