Big deal. It doesn't actually look like that in 30 FPS games, so whatever. >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)01:08 No.1139514 >>1139507 It does to me, thus my eyes are amazing. I hate games that run at 30fps, they look like vomit to me. I demand no less than 60. >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)03:01 No.1139576 the human eye can only actually see up to 60 anyway >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)03:08 No.1139579 Another problem is that the refresh rate of most monitors caps out at 60 Hz unless you have a damn good monitor and you set it otherwise. So most monitors can't render more than 60 FPS anyway. >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)03:34 No.1139589 >>1139507 No, it does look like that, but without a frame of reference like in this flash, and a little suspension of disbelief, you can ignore the difference easily. >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)03:59 No.1139600 120 FPS looks so nice. Yay for my 2 GTX280's and 8800GTX. 8) >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)04:38 No.1139620 >>1139576 terrible troll. detecting fps by the human eye is entirely up to point of reference. if something barely moves, 10 fps would be unnoticeable. if the entire screen is changing rapidly, it becomes more apparent. humans can see well beyond 4000 fps, and theres absurdly simple tests to prove it, have a person sit in a dark room, and produce a bright flash that lasts for 1/4000 of a second. a person will notice it. herp fucking derp, someone just saw 4000 fps. in fast paced first person shooters, 30 fps can become obvious, solely because of minor stuttering, but until theres an unresponsiveness of input due to video rendering times, most people dont notice and or give a shit. shits been proven extensively by other fucking studies. now, stop being fags. >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)06:58 No.1139663 off topic lol i cant upload anything anymore because it says "dublicate file entry" or something what do >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)07:36 No.1139668 Agreed! I'm a games designer and I think all games should be AT LEAST 60 fps. >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)08:24 No.1139687 >>1139514 Wrong. Get your fucking facts straight. Furthermore, 30 FPS is what I'd consider the "tolerable" frame-rate. Anything below this actually becomes physically painful to look at. However, I prefer things to be well above 30 -- generally 50~60 is a comfortable range. Anything higher than that isn't too noticeable. >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)08:27 No.1139688 >>1139687 Meant to quote: >>1139576 >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)08:57 No.1139703 I can see the difference between all of them >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)09:08 No.1139708 thank fuck 120hz panels are coming out. >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)09:24 No.1139714 >>1139620 that's complete bullshit. Human eye doesn't have a fast enough nerve conduction velocity to see 4000 frames, the absolute limit of human visual acuity is about 180-200 frames per second. Anything more than that and the eye stops processing the information, you see this with what is called a "wagon wheel" test, where a spinning object approaches that threshold of human limits and suddenly appears to be spinning in the opposite direction because our eyes can no longer process the information as fast as the wheel is spinning. >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)10:13 No.1139727 >>1139708 Yes but for 3D purposes. >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)10:22 No.1139734 http://www.100fps.com/how_many_frames_can_humans_see.html Please, faggots, please at least read the bottom of this page. >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)12:45 No.1139776 >>1139734 404 faggot fix your links nigger >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)12:51 No.1139785 i require a 30 - 60 fps swf. in total 30 balls. so i can see what is really the limit. anybody can do it for great justice? >> [_] Anonymous 12/17/09(Thu)12:55 No.1139789 >>1139620 >have a person sit in a dark room, and produce a bright flash that lasts for 1/4000 of a second. |
