  This. Cyclists are also just as human as drivers, so they fuck up spectacularly sometimes too.

  I was stopped three cars behind the front-most car in the leftmost lane of a three-lane, one-way
  street. I was able to see the entire fuckup as a dude speeds down the adjoining sidewalk in front
  of the street and slam straight into the side of the front-most car in the middle-lane at a stop.
  Guy flipped and landed on his head.
  Don't know if the guy suffered injuries or not since I kept on driving, but holy fuck.

  Cities spend millions for bike trails all over the place. And still manage to get a cyclist to
  blow the stop sign and run in front of you. Cyclist mentality "I better take a leisure ride on

  OK... Being someone who has sat behind the wheel (Permit as of now) AND has a bike? I believe
  myself to be a more trustworthy opinion on the matter.

  He says it in an offensive way, but i can explain what goes through a cyclist's mind. Especially

  I live about a 10 min ride on my bike from work.
  So many people refuse to use their signals.
  If I go in front of a car they will speed up as if to chase me.
  This forces me to speed up to while constantly looking over my shoulder because this fucker is
  about to slam my back tire with me IN THE BIKE LINE!!!!
  It Happens EVERY DAY WITH AT LEAST 1 DRIVER!

  Solution? Let them go in front of me?
  OK... Let's Find out how they plays out.

  So I let the driver(s) in front of me and they don't use their turn signal or RANDOMLY slow down
  without tapping gently on the brakes first as a warning...
  (yes that is in ALL driver's manuals, look it up)

  So these jackasses go from 25-35 (speed limit permitting) to zilch in half a second with no
  warning and I flip onto the back of their cars?!?

  Drivers create such a hostile commute for anything because they are in a metal shell and cyclists
  are not. this makes bikers paranoid and rightfully so.
  Agitated cyclists MAY try to fight back by going into the driver's lane...
  but that is both AGAINST THE LAW and FATALLY DANGEROUS when you equate a driver's road rage.
  Only when people start to respect others on the road instead of thinking "GO GO GO GO GO GO" will
  we find an equilibrium on said roads.

  So try to respect others and realize regardless of your MODE of commute:

  1) EVERYONE IS IN A HURRY.
  2) WE ALL SHARE THE ROAD,
  THE ROAD ISN'T YOURS ALONE.
  3) RETALIATION LEADS TO MORE SHIT!

  I live in Japan. Bicycles are a normal mode of transportation and cars don't really have a
