I saw this cringe meme from someone who was obviously a supporter and it said something about
Abraham Losing an election then winning the presidency. The thing is, I'm pretty sure Abe told a
lot less lies than Beto told his supporters. He bragged about not receiving money from PACS when
he actually makes money THROUGH PACS. Then there's the criminal record and his father (judge of
el paso at the time) helping him with the DUI's especially the one where he tried to flee the
scene.

Since there were only a small handful of Republican senate seats even up for election, it would
have taken major upsets in Republican stronghold states for Democrats to take the Senate. Not a
single reasonable person expected it to actually happen.
They expected Democrats to take the house by about 6 or 7 points, however, with an estimated 30
seats taken typically. They took 35 seats and won by over 10 points.
