How do I stop flash from automatically downloading? I used to just open them in new windows but nowadays chrome does not allow its user to allow flash for all websites. I can't run any of my saved flashes. >> [_] Anonymous 10/14/18(Sun)01:48:42 No.3362976 Try searching chrome on an archive, also stop using chrome. >> [_] Anonymous 10/14/18(Sun)01:51:23 No.3362979 >>3362976 The latter. >> [_] Anonymous 10/14/18(Sun)02:08:14 No.3362984 in between the filename and the tag, clicked embed. you can't view it in a separate tab but it works in an embedded frame >> [_] A man that needs help 10/14/18(Sun)02:29:16 No.3362987 >>3362984 What about selecting predownloaded files from my computer and opening them on chrome? I used to do that like a year ago, but the UI has changed several times. >> [_] A man that needs help 10/14/18(Sun)03:16:36 No.3362997 bumping my own gay thread >> [_] Anonymous 10/14/18(Sun)03:26:25 No.3362999 Part of the reason why no one wants to help you is because this flash is shitty and I find it hard to believe that anyone unironically enjoys it at this point. The more recent versions of chrome have flash completely disabled as a default, and trying to access flash files (this goes for really any unreadable file in chrome) will result in downloading it. You have a few options to mitigate this problem: As one anon mentioned already, you can use an archived version of chrome. You could also use firefox, which is a better browser anyways. Finally, you could simply google how to enable it in your current build of chrome, the info is out there. >> [_] A man that needs help 10/14/18(Sun)03:35:52 No.3363000 >>3362999 Thanks and checked! Also I just selected a random one from my useless .swf folder, next time asking a question I should try selecting a hentai game to attract attention. >> [_] A man that needs help 10/14/18(Sun)03:58:15 No.3363007 >>3363000 Wait I got trips too >> [_] Anonymous 10/14/18(Sun)07:24:37 No.3363024 >>3362999 When I mentioned the archive I actual meant for him to keyword search for chrome on the flash archives since his problem has been answered every day for about a month now. >> [_] Anonymous 10/14/18(Sun)11:00:35 No.3363033 we seriously need a sticky on /f/ for all the chrome/newfags who can't into flash >> [_] Anonymous 10/14/18(Sun)12:14:49 No.3363040 >>3362975 Chrome Doesn't play Flash anymore because "Flash is a security Risk" Try using Opera or Firefox! >> [_] Anonymous 10/14/18(Sun)12:19:05 No.3363041 from the archives. This worked for me >Go to chrome://flags/#enable-ephemeral-flash-permission and disable it >If that doesn't work try enabling this chrome://flags/#extensions-on-chrome-urls |
