Giving it some thought USA is the biggest bluff of the world.
"We are the greatest"
Everyone knows we see ourselves as such, or at least believe Americans see themselves as such.
We're the butt of the joke when it comes to it. But look at us for a moment, we are a country
full of debt, prisoners, and national zealotry. The amount we spend on defense, the lack of
natural resources to obtain and the type of people that live in the US just make us the worst
possible target in the world, nothing to gain, and everything to lose. Not to mention how
ingrained the US dollar is in the world economy, take out the backing of the dollar and half the
world's economy takes a massive blow if not collapsing completely when the floor is taken out
from under it. I also think the world leaders know this. That america is just not worth the time
and effort to fuck with. Not because we could fuck their shit up (with our budget and size, yeah
full scale war is entirely possible, but disregarding that) but because their is nothing to
really gain in taking anything from us.

people are tired of the status-quo, we have a boat-load of problems, but we have been ignoring
them for too long and riding on past wins. we may be the most free (especially after the tuscan
raiders took over anywhere they could.) but that is not enough anymore, and i hope something is

conversation boils down to "America's self-esteem is inflated. America #1 is a vapid ego-stroker
that allows us to ignore our problems. Why can't America try to be better?" "Don't be a
self-loathing American. America is fine. Terrorism. Muslims. Socialism. Freedom. 'nuff said"
If we are going to talk about freedom, there are a number of independent agencies that evaluate
countries on how free their people are based an objective rubric such as whether the government
is structured in a way that allows people to be free to pursue religion, elect political
representatives, pursue happiness, etc. The US falls kind of in the middle of rankings among free
countries and is certainly not #1. I'm not going to go too deep into it here, we lose points over
certain things like the electoral college diminish the value of the individual vote, and
"progressive" personal liberties like rights and equality for minorities and women.
