a GFX card mines 1 million times slower than a single ASIC miner and a CPU mines 1 thousand times
slower than a single GFX card
says on the linked github that the speed is around 65 000 hashes/s. current ASIC speed is 14 000
000 000 000 hashes/s. the latest commit on github was in 2011, which was around the time when GFX
card mining was starting to take off so it was already getting outdated.
this has no purpose other than looking at the source code and trying to learn something. still,
it's pretty cool that an actionscript bitcoin miner even exists.

(the first line is a rule of thumb. 65k hashes/s on 2011's CPUs would still be nowhere near
specialized hardware's output on 2019's CPUs and the amount of hashes per joule would be much lower
too so it's nowhere near economically feasible)
