It's saddening to see desperation acted upon like this. I'm not sure if it was for victory,
preserving honor or escaping the regime they've been conscripted to, but hearing/reading and
seeing people commit suicide are vividly different experiences for me.
I think Japan is still culturally recovering from that war, having reached such heights and being
broken in such a distinct way within years.

nigger what? you go about it in such a fag way. These are men who saw their nation as their only
thing to protect. The would rather smash their plane into the enemy rather then fly away. It was
honorable. It was not to escape from their emperor. If japan was the size of say...Australia or
Germany even and had their resources and population, the war would have gone much worse for us.
They are not recovering in a way that they need their balls back.
I never see this as saddening. I see this as men giving literally all for their country and
KNOWING they arnt flying home. Hell, thats 1000X more dangerous than what US soldiers are asked
to do. Even their basic infantry vs our current basic infantry.

I'm not convinced any of what is being said here is accurate. These were calculated attacks. The
US had such massive air superiority that kamikaze attacks actually resulted in more damage per
pilot and plane lost than conventional attacks.
Attacking the US Navy was suicide no matter how they did it. And the Japanese knew that damn well.

I'm pretty sure Japanese propaganda was even more brainwashing than US
