ill be coming back to this. id like to find a way to keep the original quality and keep file size
down. obviously im already pushing it. but id also like to have a few music loops, and hitting m
or something switches between tracks. idk. im going to bed.

Fuckin hell, it looks like that's 3d assisted or something like that, but they do a really good
job of stopping it from having that shitty 3d look.

it'd be better to skip those buttons if you ask me. they don't work for me at all and since it's
buttons and not text I can't just mark it and google search it in two seconds. I don't want to go
to your weird links anyway
still, good work

.... no? ive just been enjoying flash for 12 years, and finally have the resources to create my
own. if it dies, it dies. the thing about flash is, even if the ability to play them online or in
a community like this dies, it will *always* be able to be played on a local machine. through
VMs, or whatever. and as long as im able to do that, i might as well create, and enjoy the
creations ive saved throughout the years.

Why exactly are computers slowly getting away from flash anyways? What replaces it?

not really anything, that's the point
tl;dr: it's just a mega-coorporation (google) push for even more control over the internet
adobe was really the last one that isn't amazon or microsoft or whatever who had any power over
them
but after some salty anti-flash-security-ad-campains and a briefcase of money, adobe said fuck it
and went
they weren't too fond of flash these years anyway and theoretically, yes it's very archaic
html5 can embed video directly into, well html, and that was a big point of flash anyway
but as far as anything beyond that goes... hmmm
javascript/ JS node and native html5 games are the "future", but really it's just appstore games
from here on, no more free flash games for the masses
also, don't even get me started about losing the swf format itself, it was pretty genuine genius,
with easy acessible vector graphic, entry level actionscripting, huge compatibility and easy
control over how it works in browsers
if they just put a working sandbox in there, and common sense not enable flash on sites where you
wouldn't need or want it, then security wouldn't even be an issue

i think some people on newgrounds are using webgl along with javascript. you should click around
a few submissions on the game page if you're really curious.

Because Adobe got friendly with Microsoft, Apple, and Google, and decided that the HTML5 spec
should "replace' Flash... which is like saying, "don't hit me, I'll give you my lunch money!!"
HTML5 is no replacement for Flash, it can't do 1/3 of what Flash does, and Adobe is too big and
fat to want to actually fix their Star Child. They want to roll with the "big boys".

companies like Google cant make money from it, so they're ""phasing it out"" using security as an
excuse to force people to move to Youtube.
