I guess this is the last time I post this flash since flash is going to be unsupported soon and
ask you /f/ellas, how are you doing?
  Hopefully fine.

Marked for deletion (old).

All is well. Flash will live on, I can't say how but the medium will be preserved somehow. Have
hope anon, and even if the worst happens there is nothing that can stop us from overcoming
  anything that comes our way.

doing fine, /f/ will live on, even if flash is not supported, we will find a way

use a standalone flash player that's not just in your browser.

That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die.

As much as I like the flash medium, I think it will be stuck in the past as content creators age
off or move to different mediums. Maybe HTML5 can be a viable replacement but its the limitations
of flash which push for creativity. Only time will tell now.

main reason content creators "move to different mediums" is youtube's refusal to host swf files,
despite the fact that they can easily scan the files for disallowed actionscript and despite the
fact that you needed flash to view videos on youtube until what, 2013?

i cant imagine how strong flash support would still be today if youtube had a million swf files.
you can do so much more with flash compared to video, it's a shame

>> [_] Anonymous 08/25/19(Sun)04:38:53 No.3400448

  judging from this thread
  https://old.reddit.com/r/youtube/comments/6puoc2/did_youtube_just_stop_supporting_flash_all_of_a/
it seems like the flash video player worked on youtube until July 2017

if you change any video URL from
  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXX
  to
  https://www.youtube.com/v/XXXXX
you do get a swf file but all it says is
  >Watch on YouTube
  >Flash-embedded videos are no longer supported,
  >but you can still watch this video on YouTube.
  >[WATCH ON YOUTUBE]
that small swf file seems to be uniquely generated for that video as well, tried downloading a
couple and the file sizes are different. so youtube can even generate dynamic swf files. but they
still just want to kill flash so bad.

And this matters why? You think Hiro cares enough about 4chan to go out of his way to delete /f/?
If he cared about flash's popularity he would've purged /f/ long ago.

  >>3400448
I think flash is just a interactive container for actual video file and that the flash container
allows for video controls and streaming which the standard HTML cannot do back then. Then HTML5
came out which allowed website interactivity built in to the latest browsers so there is no need
for a third party web plugin like flash. Maybe /f/ can migrate to using HTML5 with support for
flash as you can also create animations with HTML5 with better performance as well.

oh look, yet another 'lets spread flash ending panic' fag.

remain calm and carry on people. flash isn't going anywhere.

  Hahaha, no.
  Not even with NodeJS.
