>With an estimated net worth of about US$4.1 billion in 2019,[59] he was ranked by Forbes as the
167th-richest person in the United States.[60]
>Perot died on July 9, 2019, at the age of 89 in Dallas, Texas, after a battle with
leukemia.[59][61]
imagine having assets over 4 billion USD when you die... at a certain point i'd like to think
that i myself would do something with the money, donations or whatever else benefits humanity.
maybe 3 billions worth of donation to various leukemia researchers and heart researches or
whatever. i'd like to imagine being over 80 and hearing about what people are doing with your
money must be better than to just fizzle out, everybody leave this world without cash anyway.
sure he had 5 kids and a wife but 1 billion split into 6 is still so much money

Ross Perot is important because he was the proto-Trump. Billionaire who ran for president, but he
ran as an independent. He basically tutored Trump in politics and despite huge support in 1992
and 1996 he obviously didn't get much ground.
That said, had he not run then Trump would almost certainly not have run as a Republican, which
is what won him the election.
