because you want the audio in the language it was originally created in
hard to believe for amerifats, but a lot of non-english-speaking people like watching movies in
english, because that's the language the director made them in and not some studio jerk
commanding a bunch of people sitting on their asses in some chamber, trying their most desperate
with a shitty transtlated script to captivate the scene that was already perfectly fine to begin
with
for anime especially, personally I find the stupid and unnatural texts in my language pretty
gruesome to listen to
I prefer only rudimentary understanding what is said and then making sense of it with a written
text, this way the clash of culture can be overcome much more easily and on the plus side you
even learn japanese grammar and vocabulary over the years (even if you probably only get to
gradeschooler level yourself AND KANJI NEVER EVER)

I'm making a new year's resolution to post this at 9:00 PM PST (my timezone) every Monday from
now on. Because this board is always filled with bad news and Mondays are always bad news.... and
also cuz Miku Monday.

Because I prefer Vocaloid over real voice in this case.

Maybe I can get a little help over here, there was a miku flash posted once a long time ago that
featured several characters with rubber animal masks dancing in a circle, if I recall correctly
the whole aesthetic of the thing was rather dark, I was never able to find it afterwards, any
clue as to which song it might have been?

Right answer. The intent behind the voice acting is significant, and by letting some Jackass who
isn't the director change that through dubbing it over, you're losing a very important part of
the experience.

I agree. I hate Hollywoods propaganda in entertainment nowadays too. It's like they're not even
trying to hide it anymore..

hey folks, the overarching objective of this artist is to make Miku sound non-robotic, like a
natural performing entity. It takes shit tons of work to pull this off, so much so that trying to
replicate the work with an English-speaking vocaloid would be prohibitive (and probably no
English-speaking producer would have the chops to do it anyway). So the only way to get it into
English is with a real person's voice and THIS DEFEATS THE PURPOSE.
It would be like remaking Grave of the Fireflies in live action. It would be logistically
possible, but would be artistically antithetical to the original intent.
