the writing is considered to be upper level shit, people enjoy it for the puns and references.
This series started that shit before everyone else started unironically doing it. The characters
could be non-human amorphic blobs and people would still read it... at least the japanese readers
would. This series is like 70% word play, 20% nostalgia references, 10% waifus.
