I want to replace the sound in some SWF I found but I can't figure out how. Not so smooth in execution. usually it only gives you a portion of the assets. Sothink can drop a stitch every now and then. You can use them to export the SWF as a "likely" .FLA file which can then be polished/edited in Flash. Not really rocket science, it's pretty straightforward. Then again, if you don't into Flash, these tools are quite worthless. >> [_] Anonymous 01/29/20(Wed)00:51:32 No.3416586 >>3416528 sothink is an outdated, buggy mess. +1 for JPEXS text search is handy if you want to edit health, ammo, $$$ values, or 'patreon only' locks etc. you can also export/import images, sounds, shapes (svg) >> [_] Anonymous 01/29/20(Wed)08:27:22 No.3416619 JPEXS all the way. never understood that name but they are the best. if someone can explain where "jpexs" comes from please do! sothink was a commercial product so they stopped working on it seriously when flash started to diminish. no money no point. JPEXS is a open source passion project that have kept being developed and since the swf format hasn't exactly evolved in several years now they have pretty much caught up to it and can handle it perfectly (as far as i can tell). >> [_] Anonymous 01/29/20(Wed)19:35:32 No.3416658 >>3416528 I've used Flashbulb (from Xeloh) before, which was pretty simple to work for things like viewing and replacing assets in .swf files, and had a bunch of other flash hacking features. It was always a work-in-progress tool though and I can't find it online any more. Can upload it somewhere if that'd be useful - it'd do what you want quite easily I think. |
