I don't know how old you are, but I've been here since my teens and I've been into the working life
for quite some time now.
Basically all my free time that isn't spent doing some work or watching anime/television I lurk on
my home boards, one of which is /f/ (fuck yeah!).
You are here forever, they say. It's not just a meme.

That's not something easily explained, but I don't think newfags are really hated here or on /f/,
especially if they are willing to learn.
/f/ is special, because users are pretty much forced to lurk and adapt to even be part of the
culture, not like other places, where you can just stumble upon and spout images with your known
habit.
Newbs aren't educated anymore because, to be blunt, the ratio between oldfags (willing to do so)
and the sheer amount of new people has just become too unstable. Too many people who are more and
more unverse in how even computars and inderpnet works, not willing to change it, not wanting the
culture, but bringing it with them, and mods, etc. just given up on doing all but the bare minimum
to keep things legal.

lastly plz don't B& i joined on 2017 i was just 14 that time and still new to imageboards
(i accidentally stumbled upon 4chan/f/ while looking for mario flash games when i was a kid then i
came here few years later here out of curiosity)

not exactly a wiki, but still, just dig through classic flashes and threads to get a feel for the
community
if you're interested you will want to watch every thread on /f/ and before you know, you're already
with the community
also, I think it's nearly impossible anymore to become a true oldfag tier lurker these days
When I started back then encyclopediadramatica and lurkmore were a good start to get a grasp on the
culture of 4chan as a whole and /f/ is like a small part of everything, so it pays to basically
know all solid and universal memes that existed back then (yes that was possible).
Though the coverage for /f/ specific culture is small, the charm kinda lies in browsing untill you
figured it out.

I wouldn't exactly B& someone just because they are/showed to be a newfag.
It's more like trying to understand something before you just shit into it. If you're learning and
everytime you make a mistake, you learn something new for the future of your posts, then that is
the process.
I lurked for a whole 2 years or more maybe before I started to comment in every thread, just
reading comments of my /f/ellow men. It's a thing of respect. You're barging in a community of
already familiar and well adjusted people. Nobody wants to keep you out and expects you to make
mistakes, but also progress and not being lazy. If you're just doing whatever it is YOU want with
no regard for the culture as a whole and even trying to assimilate others to your liking, you will
be shunned and hopefully maybe even banned.

Also, specifically here on swfchan culture is waaay less strict and existing. This was really just
a place to upload things into the swf archive. Compared to /f/ it is relatively new and has more of
a history of great events than a daily board culture per se.
This is the big box of everything compared to /f/'s daily prepared and changing table.
