[_] Thoughts on the /death/ of flash? iPaq 11/09/19(Sat)23:29:50 No.3408097
I'm certain a workaround will become immediately available. Be it a third party loader, browser
fork or some other hacky solution.
Flashplayer standalone is already a thing and you can just paste URLs into it, but it'd be ideal
to keep the in-browser capabilities.
Regardless of the outcome, I hope /f/ doesn't get canned. I like the music loops, animations, and
fidelity of having an swf with the original vectors instead of some <1080p YouTube video.

I don't have thoughts on the "death" of flash because literally nothing is going to happen or
change.

That's exactly how it feels. Programs don't just "Die" any efforts to block it will be useless.

More than a year from now
dec 2020
It's adobe removing flash from their site and stopping support.
You can always override blocks from browsers, even if permanent, and programs cannot be erased
from your computer
