  I've never owned photoshop and always used GIMP or Paint.net when I was on windows; never saw a
  reason to buy/rent that program.

  And what if I want to play one of the games that isn't on Linux? Even IF it run on wine the
  performance will be impaired. Also nice try finding pirated linux games.

  What about all the small crappy software that's Windows-only? For example if I want to use
