God damn, I love this one. Is the anime source good? I know it's about aliens asking a former
metal musician for help, right?

It depends. The basic plotline is that sort of, that the aliens need his help to fight other
aliens (via rocking out, which powers up their super weapon), but it's not actually about
fighting the aliens. It's about a guy who dreamed of being a rock star, but gave it up for his
family, getting a second chance to live out his dream at the risk of losing what he has now. If
you're the kind of person who has dreams or gave them up, then it'd probably be really good,
otherwise, it's not that good of an anime. That is, if you're just some kid looking for
entertainment, you probably won't like it outside some silly scenes like this.
