Guys, i have a winXP PC which is OFFLINE at all times. Flash wont fucking work on it anymore.
What kind of time bomb is this?!? Cant install "older" versions of flash on it either. Wat do?

do you play using ActiveX? how do you play the swf files?
the time bomb is from last summer, June 2020 I think, so the PC must have been online since then
to get the plugin version with a kill switch. it just checks your computer's clock

Via MPC-HC or winXP Internet Explorer which in turn uses flash for IE. I do connect to the
internet a few times a year for up to 30 seconds to upload some data from a program. Currently i
found out that i can only play flash on Firefox. Unfortunately i cant get it up and running for
MPC/IE (since they require IE flash).
Additionally the only way i've been browsing /f/ without downloading the flashes to view is via
IE 8 on my win7 PC. I saw the sticky a while ago and still waiting on that.

Both MPC-HC and IE uses the ActiveX plugin, which have been automatically updated by Windows
Update to Adobe's version with the kill switch.

You can install older versions, it just needs a little tinkering in the registry.
Better to update to the latest version and use >>3458592 the hex edited plugins without the
killscreen though.
Alternatively flash works even in ActiveX when you follow the proper mms.cfg configations.
