It's OK, nothing lasts forever.
We had a good run.

its still the same place as it was back then but something feels missing. idk what it is.
>> [_] Anonymous 11/16/20(Mon)07:34:05 No.3445842
well it's certainly not living. :(
I hope that as the clock ticks nearer to December 31, a lot of old /f/ users come back to
reminisce and bring this place back up to a decent speed, if only for a week or two.

We're not young anymore.
/f/ has largely stayed the same, as the influx of phoneposters doesn't affect it, and many
newfags don't even know what flashes are.
But this inevitably results in a lack of new content. Newfags were always the driving force
behind content, they brought new things to the place.
When 4chan and the internet were still largely a "nerdy thing", the newfags weren't even that
insufferable, as there was a certain amount of knowledge you needed to have to even know about
this place. But then became the advent of smartphones, the internet hate machine, election
tourists and we all know what it lead to.
/f/ is like a small village in countryside, where old people live and only get older.

When I try to play a flash all I get is a white screen.
What do.

I feel like I'm a newfag to /f/, I'm here since three years only
But this is by far my favorite board, and I wish I'll stay with you until the end

Reposting
The issue is actually something 4chan started doing a while back which is setting the x-frame
header option to DENY which prevents any flash file from loading on the 4chan domain. Firefox
used to ignore these header settings but the recent update made it start applying them.
Current workaround is to install an addon called simple-modify-headers and configure it as
follows:
URL Patterns: https://i.4cdn.org/f/*
Action: Delete
Header Field Name: x-frame-options
Header Field Value: null
Apply On: Response
Start it up and flash files should start working again. Be sure to send feedback telling Hiro
that flashes are fucked and maybe they'll fix the issue, if not then we're just stuck with it for
the foreseeable future.

How many times are we going to have this damn question? Ruffle exists, it plays flashes in
browser, currently it does not support AS3 but it's work in progress. It's a viable solution
because already other imageboards have implemented it, 22chan as an example. If hiroshimoot picks
his yellow ass up from his chair and starts working then /f/ is here to stay, if not then it was
an honor serving with you lads.
