Well, not that 4chan in general will go away. But you know, the feeling in the air is the same. It was younger than this, but it formed the local internet culture as we knew it, really shook the foundations and made it into something really beautiful. You've seen our fruits, one of our most known thing was the predecessor of Dolan Duk. The site went into decline six years back, as a new generation of all ages got a foothold in the internet we knew and loved. Not that new blood isn't welcome, but the happy-go-lucky tone wasn't what this new generation of serious business had in mind. Nah, everything became political, offensive, points and jokes were made in places they had no correlation or association whatsoever. Just something completely irrelevant slapped on a thing that already existed. Now that I think about it, that's about how it goes nowadays. OC is still rare, but as it's so much easier to slap things onto each other, real OC ain't the thing anymore. This phenomenon in comments, even in the brains of the people who consume our media. You hear people talking with twitch emote commands IRL, for fuck's sake. I digress. Site was also breaking down functionality-wise, and for some odd reason admins just bailed the site for a few years. Their mysterious disappearance might have had something to do with debt, but to this day we just don't know. The change in community and the tone of media warded off users and non-users alike, old and new. Soon there was only the most bitterest, the most retarded and the most resilient/desperate left. Non-user activity was declining and active userbase was around 200-300. Eh, anyways. The admins decided to shut the site down, and first thing that was to go was the function to post media. The site had a silent flash sub-section, and this very flash was the last one there. There it stood until its end. Until our end. I now share your end as well. Try to make something out of it. >> [_] Anonymous 12/30/20(Wed)20:42:40 No.3452197 RIP Naurunappula, in our hearts undying. Ja nyt jos suotte, juon itseni humalaan unohtaakseni kaiken mitä olen juuri sanonut. >> [_] Anonymous 12/30/20(Wed)21:21:26 No.3452234 Crazy, huh? But things continue and endure in odd, small ways; a little of it becoming a part of us with your posts. Thanks 4 the flash homie, enjoy your drink. |
