windows update fucking sucks, especially when they're pushing those broken ass updates that wreck
your shit.
i'd advise ltsc in the future if you ever plan to change versions, doesn't get feature updates
only security ones.

this is why I have started to come to fear the big "updates" on win10, where the system basically
reinstalls a newer version of win10
I've already lost a system to that once and not once has the win backup image been able to be
installed on a fresh disk again
fuck window's proprietary recovery mechanisms, I should probably start looking for a third party
tool at some point

i got my main drive backed up. but my raides are mostly free game. got some "cold storage" i use
from time to time. sucks about the 4tb, but it could have been worse
