The Zeitgeist Movement is a group which advocates a resource based economy or open source
society. This current system, the market, results in poverty and poverty is a form of violence.
So TZM advocates everyone's human needs being met. Also the more competitive the society the
worse it's general health as a competitive society results in inequality. (richard wilkinson) and
there's no evidence competitive or violent behaviour is simply natural (james gilligan) Also due
to cost cutting we waste natural resources by making products built to break, and also we pollute
the natural environments due to cost cutting.
So TZM's RBE would be a society that doesn't hold back science for the sake of employment or
tradition. Instead science is brought to the forefront of social management to meet human needs
and so we can be sustainable on this planet.
