after 30 seconds the vent goes turbo mode and the ps3 shuts itself off
tried reapplying the thermal paste but to no avail

I am really close to that.
After a few minutes the PS3 fans go really into overdrive and stay like that. Can't be long until
it just dies now :(
It was the last good console, I am not buying PS4 anymore, maybe a switch after it gets dead
cheap.
PS: that feel when Persona 5 was still released on PS3, ty Fatlus!

I'm considering buying an old ps2 or getting another ps3 to jailbreak it and play old ps1/2/3
games but that's gonna be more of a hassle I imagine

i had the overpriced first edition, with the ps2 reader head, it died a few years ago. the blu
ray stopped working after a disassembly and cleaning 2007-2015~16 "it played my games"
i still remember playing MAG and using the proxy mic to scare my opponent before back stabbing
them
