and in the very next day it was back to normal

Just checked /b/ in like over a year and it's still absolute bottom of the barrel garbage.
I maybe would actually browse that shithole if the flood of normalfag porn threads would get
axed, but it's probably too late anyways. I wish moderation would just show themselves on the big
boards in general and take a stance against the cancer, instead of going through the ineffective
and retarded single post report system. Banning phone posters from creating threads could be
effective as well.

The mods have given up and are only interested in selling user data. They aren't interested in
taking a tough stance against spam (to the contrary, swaglord created /film/ as an s4s joke) and,
as /vrpg/ and /bant/ show, if there's a problem on a board they just splinter it over and over
until there's just enough space for real discussion to squeak by on these "subreddit boards"
while the core hobby boards remain unfixed and only end up being magnets for idiots.
And it distances the users from each other more since they feel like /b/ is a lost cause, /tv/ is
a lost cause, /v/ is a lost cause, etc. Instead of /b/ being the miscellaneous board where
everyone comes together people just trash their home boards with spam because everyone thinks /b/
is a ghost town.

well said,
in that regard /f/ always was my /b/, because whatever topic or happening, I was sure that if it
was noteworthy enough, I'd hear about it on /f/
the best shit, the best porn, the best anime, the funniest memes, the coolest videos, the dankest
news
everything came together here, just minus the wades of shit you have to go through normally,
lurking on every board
also the nature of /f/ kinda forces active users to crossboard or crosssite
thank you, cross-visiting /f/ags, for all those years of service to our little place of serenity
here
