Something along those lines.
I meant he often gets credited as the father of 2chan (futaba channel) and therefore all
imageboards, when in fact he didn't, he is even banned from that chan.
He created the original 2ch (2channel), which was more akin to a regular user driven news
website, or social media than anything chan-related.
Still because most people cannot understand that he isn't "proto-Moot" and confuse the 2 sites,
so he claims the credit anyway.
Futaba was really more of a fall-back site in case that the actual 2channel was down, but over
time it became more popular, because of everything that makes imageboard culture supreme,
including images on the board.
