Zone seem to lean more towards cartoons the more recent you look in their history.
I don't understand or like cartoons.
I struggle to watch much of even creative objectively good cartoons like spongebob or gumball.
To me that is why I am less interested in their modern works.
I do think however they are still a great artist, probably one of the best in the clean vector
variety

Zone is a good artist for sure, but maybe even TOO GOOD. He just thinks of himself as an artiste
these days and not just someone who brings the people the XXX.
His new flashes are suuuper high quality works of art, but they aren't just .... you know ....
made to beat the meat to any longer. I for one find them to be utter lacking in appealingness in
that regard.
DinDin is 50% more simple in his art and 200% more fappable. You gotta know your priorities.
I guess Zone just got too old for this shit and just wants to spend his well earned days in
peace, working on things he finds fullfilling and having fun with friends in VRchat.
For me the turning point was Kill la Kill.
It's a show that is super freaking hot out of the box and yet Zone's flash of it did nothing for
me. He just didn't capture anything that made the show speak to the fanboys and just made some
strange cloth tentacle rape thingy with extreme long pauses when the special moves were on
screen. I remember he even hired someone who could make the font as authentic as in the show,
which is great attention to detail, but I don't want to wait for 10 secs everytime the screen
transitions just because of an artsy if fitting visual joke.
Images like the one you posted are ironically the most appealing art he does these days while he
always said he won't ever do porn of Zone-tan, but he goes riskier everytime.

I haven't seem zone be immodest like that, but if somebody wants to go above and beyond porn
there is no reason to see this as a bad thing, people change.

Like I said, I don't like cartoons. I don't have much to say on the appeal of his work because
that's the style he chooses.

Even if he is not that old or not tired, is there something wrong with that? wanting to do
something artsy, or play vr chat? You can't forget that there is a dude behind those things, not
just somebody who perpetually thrives to make more hentai.

Cannot relate. I enjoy that flash, although to be honest nothing beats the trigger art,
especially not in their own game. sushio or imaishi drawing ryuko makes me weak at the knees.

Pretty sure zone hired piper, she is in the credits, the flashes of red font are also part of
what makes kill la kill special, and again, this is just some animator, its not like his sole
purpose in life is to make the internet porn. Hell I wouldn't mind if he stopped making porn and
just made an animation. I know I'd watch it.
In anime and manga often people root for ero doujin artists and H artists moving onto official
stuff. I think this is a lot more an appropriate way to look at these things. Root at somebody
who is moving on to bigger things.
Then again I have less sentimental value tied to those things. If I was to spend decades
following an artist and he completely changed out of the blue I'd feel weird as well probably,
not sure.

Yikes man, somebody's awfully defensive about a random unrelated artist of the early internet.
I wasn't trying to demeanor zone or his achievements or his skill or disregarding that a person
can only bring about joy for others for only so much in his life.
I was just stating the fact that why in my opinion zone has lost his throne as THE flash porn
artist and is now just a regular if good artist who doesn't focus on what made him great anymore.
That throne (thankfully) went on to other people like EroPharao, Derpixon or Dinner.
Zone is just a mammoth of the olden times now, living off his fame and maybe his immense skills
as an artist. But he just isn't a [H] god anymore.
I don't begrude him for any of this, it is most likely a way better life for him, but at the same
time I cannot respect him anymore like before he said he won't do any popular anime requests
anymore, closed down his vote forum, closed down his oekaki section and now just spends his time
on earth goofing around in VRchat while releasing an animation maybe every other 4 years.

Sure, the top has been crowded, even back in 2006.
There have been countless great easter H-artists, but I cannot ignore the number of times I have
fapped to zone's work in the past.
He was one of the best r34 artists and his strength was always emulating the original artstyle,
something which few artists even attempted.
He's just a relic that is undeniably connected to the golden times of 4chan, the internet, flash
and pron.
Same reason why I still think about AnonymousD from time to time while he probably hasn't visited
/f/ for many many years now.
