I remember when I did, I was kinda underwhelmed
only because I've seen Ergo Proxy some time before and with that anime you at least CAN make out
some sense of it, but you're pretty much screwed on Lain if you don't read into it on external
sources
there's a reason Lainchan still exists today
glad I did watch it though, as love for Lain is now forever engraved into my heart

I watched it this year as well.
absolutely wonderful piece of art. I think ranking it amongst other anime is foolish but it is
certainly in the highest echelon, it's almost as far as the medium can be pushed.

Arisuchan got me to watch the show. At first i felt like i had no idea what was going on and i
wanted to read the wiki but i didnt and just enjoyed the show. As the episodes progressed I
understood more and more and hardly needed the wiki for a subjective interpretation. Good show
