[_] Has /f/ officially adopted ruffle now? Anonymous 02/01/21(Mon)17:23:38 No.3459255
All of a sudden I can't embed files anymore. Sure enough I check on Chrome and see that /f/ has
now become /ruffle/.
But is there an option to still use the normal Flash player on the site? I know Mr. 4chan
Developer is only trying to help, but right now Ruffle can only play a third of the board's
files, and even then all the sizes are wrong (except trip_hq. That one plays flawlessly). And for
those of us who have gone to the trouble of haxxing our own copies of Flash, the board no longer
lets us embed anything at all. So Ruffle isn't really helping anybody right now.

Just click on the filename to open it in a new tab.
You all like to pretend to be nostalgia oldfags but that's how it was before the javascript
bloated extension was added to the site. There was no [Embed].

Yes, sherlock, but the embed button is here NOW. It should work.

Hilarious. A guy who uses outdated and vulnerable browsers with haxxed configs just to make
outdated and vulnerable flash work is too much of a special snowflake to click slosaka.swf and
watch it in a new tab.

just

Would you look at that, Ruffle on /f/. I thought it would take longer.
I agree with OP that there should be a way to embed using classic flash mode. Because why not? At
the very least add something in the [Settings] link at the top of the page.

I don't want to watch flashes with a fucked aspect ratio.

I think it has, flash's still play now for me just by opening them just with a orange ruffle play
button now so thank god /f/ will still live and not become dead.

holy shit PaleMoon really doesn't like ruffle, i really hope they have an option to turn off
embedding with ruffle.
Also can't ruffle like barely play any flashes?

The problem is that Pale Moon has basic support for wasm (WebAssembly) and Ruffle is just too
complicated. Maybe Ruffle is using too new JavaScript features?
Pale Moon uses their own Unified XUL platform, it's not used by many other projects:
http://thereisonlyxul.org/ Only when Pale Moon got based on that in August 2018 the following
support was introduced: WebGL version 2, WebAssembly, CSS Grid, FLAC and "nearly complete
ECMAScript version 6" (JavaScript in 2015). I respect Moonchild for keeping XUL alive but I
wouldn't count on Pale Moon running Ruffle as well as mainstream browsers anytime soon.

Are you still averse to the wheel functioning as the third button? I'm not trying to start
anything, I'm still using a file manager in 2021.
