The federal experiment has failed, we no longer need to hold to these false "traditions". We need
to splinter like an untreated piece of wood. States, no new countries made up of people, for that

it is impossible that this would ever truly work without first initiating M.A.D. globally. until
all centers of power are broken there will be no peace, and even then you'd have to give everyone
equal firepower months in advance. you'd have to cripple everyone's gov't enough to sneak arms to
people who need them and then get access to nukes. nearly impossible.
Of course, everyone undeniably would have to become subsistence farmers. Lots of sedentary people
would die. Probably only the amish with guns and some other more isolated/subsistive cultures
would thrive as well. But I don't think they believe in any facet of industry. Most of the world
would be unlivable for about a century, maybe more, seeing as the nukes are stored near farmland.
I think humanity would live on. But there would be great loss. And even then, that's the only
real solution. Many don't want that, so this entire scenario is highly unlikely.
