Orthopaedics is the most barbaric field of medicine. People in a thousand years will look back at
the current state of orthopaedic surgery with disgust similar to how we look back at the state of
medicine in the middle ages.
But I am still grateful that we have come as far as we have. What we have now is indescribably
better than nothing at all. If it were not for orthopaedic surgeons today, I would not be able to
walk right now, for instance.
