  not even having a simple file backup copied onto an external drive is just beyond lazy

  I had a PC harddrive break down lately
  even had a full win10 image backup (virtual HDDs) on a drive
  couldn't for the love of god get the thing to set up again properly
  if you want an advise, use third party software, micrococks sucks ass in that regard
  long story short, I mounted the virtual HDD in powershell, made a windows image file on (another)
  external drive, because 800GBs, formated the drive, installed a fresh installation of windows,
  went into the recovery environment, formated the system partition and used DISM to copy the
  windows image on said partition and BAM everything back again
  fuck microsoft!

  I've found that M-DISC is probably the best method for reliable consumer cold storage/backups.
  Make sure to keep them off site!

  2 gigs of ~300 flashes
  I'm picky about saving stuff even though I regret it later after digging for hours through
  swfchan to look for a random old flash that's been on my mind
  God I'll miss this board if flash ever dies. Maybe I'll rebuild that old random flash generator
  an anon made, it really gave the feel for /f/ when you'd get rick rolled and hood'ed in between
  music gifs, porn loops, and old comfy games.
