seems cool, any particular instance you recommend?
they seem to give different results. some don't load thumbnails, others give "cannot retrieve
results" timeouts. and they don't all support searching the same places.
looks like you can't search with image uploads, that would have been nice if you could. but
resource heavy so i understand why you can't.
no twitter searching on social media? that would have been useful. most only seem to support
searching digg and have reddit set to off by default.

i've concluded that every instance gives the same results and are about the same in slowness.
best practice might be to just bookmark searx.space and enter a different open instance each
time. i'll stick with duckduckgo as my main search engine and only use this when needed.
btw images.yandex.ru is my go-to for image searching. much less censored than google images. also
useful for quickly pulling text out of images.

Unrelated to rest of thread but is there a flash player that's more fleshed out than ruffle? Half
the crap I try to play either isn't supported or goes through some other bullshit during playback.
