[_] /f/ Presents: The 2021 Hallows' Eve Flash Collab Anonymous 10/06/21(Wed)15:52:28 No.3473598
Greetings, flash artists of /f/. Today marks day 6 of the Halloween Collab entry process,
with the deadline of course being, October 31st. This flash collab is an experiment to see what
spooky ideas this wonderful flash community can give birth to within the span of a full, 31 day
month. I will keep an eye on the board and repost the thread whenever it's marked for deletion,
but if you happen to see the thread sinking to the bottom of the board prematurely, a bump would
be very considerate and appreciated.
And now, a message for the artists that want to partake in this flash collab. The two biggest
limitations of this collab are:
1.) The 10mb file limit
2.) The Halloween theme
Of course, your submission does not have to be focused solely on the Halloween holiday,
just make sure the theme of your creation is spooky. The true spirit of Halloween is crude,
frightening and
disgusting, so don't be afraid to get dirty. Be as imaginative as possible!
And before anyone asks, yes, loops are allowed.
Before submitting, please be considerate of your file size. Try to compress your sounds so
there's more
room for all sorts of different submissions. This especially goes out to flash loopers.
When you finish your submission, send it to this email address: [email protected]
If you prefer a name to be credited with, or wish to remain anonymous, please tell me in the
email.
Although the official deadline is October 31st, try to complete and submit your flash within the
same
week a little bit before then. Halloween flash ghouls don't get to slack, we've got anons to
scare!
Marked for deletion (old).

Not yet! But I'm not expecting submissions so soon. Quality flashes take time and effort.

oh shit, the collab has a total size limit? does this mean you'll start rejecting entries once
you run into the limit, or will you start recompressing audio to fit everything in?

We'll see how many submissions the collab has by the end of the month. I don't want to tamper
with anyone's projects if I don't have to, but if there's an overwhelming amount of entries then
I'll probably end up doing that.

just don't be too disappointed if you dont get any, few creators left on /f/ and probably way
fewer interested in a collaboration.
dont think i've ever seen a collab from /f/ now that i think about it. it's just not been a thing
here.

did you consider it beforehand that artists don't always want their works to be tampered with?
such as worsened audio quality and compressed bitmaps
if you plan on combining the entries into one swf and posting it on /f/, with three moderately
sized submissions you'd be already hitting the limit. so unless you set hard limits like 1MB per
entry, you should have a secure plan B if ten people end up submitting and you get 35MB of
content which needs to be trimmed
also in running a collab it's important to have some kind of identity for rep, just so people
trust you with their work&effort. i checked the previous thread on archive, and it had some harsh
accusations of the potential malicious intents of the organizer. being known as credible would
give you something to counter those accusations with.

Don't take everything you see on 4chan so seriously, it was just some guy pretending to have
schizophrenia.

That's exactly what makes this an experiment. It's a test to see how much OC is entered into a
collab one month in the making.

Bump
>> [_] Anonymous 10/08/21(Fri)10:54:38 No.3473680
It’s a nice idea but I honestly think there is almost no creators left on /f/

I did create many a flash for /f/, but none of them featured what you would call traditional
animation, so I don't think I'm cut out for such a collab.
I do mostly loops n shit. Also I don't really have strong opinions on or any recent ideas for
halloween.

Loops are welcome.
