Discovered flash files: 1 File: Firefox.swf-(560 KB, 640x360, Anime) [_] Anonymous 03/12/22(Sat)14:51:31 No.3480920 Firefox has started to force-download swf files by default without asking if you want to open them, but you can change that so you can still open in Adobe's projector player directly: Tools > Settings > scroll down to Appications > Search (filter) "swf" > Change Action from "Save File" to "Always ask" Also surf to about:config and Search (filter) on "alwaysopenpanel" and change it to false. Gets rid of the download panel opening every time a download completes. Mozilla keeps making some strange changes to their browser that I wonder who asked for. Apple then Google and more recently Microsoft have had "app stores" for a long time 99% of whats there is the type of stuff you would see on a flash site 10 - 20 years ago hence their vendetta >> [_] Anonymous 03/12/22(Sat)21:06:48 No.3480946 >>3480941 did you know that Adobe made an "app store" for flashes? yep, that existed. they just made it way, waaay too late. i think it was in 2013. made them no money so they shut it down just after a half year or something. i think that's when Adobe finally understood that they had mismanaged flash so much that it was time to abandon it. imagine if they had made that thing in 2008 during the peak of the flash era. >> [_] Anonymous 03/13/22(Sun)07:59:26 No.3480955 >>3480946 >that they had mismanaged flash >imagine if they had made that thing in 2008 during the peak of the flash era I don't even want to imagine. What a shitty world where mismanaging something means having people share created art for free without pressing every penny out of them for basically no equivalent return. It's not even like their monopoly over the earlier internet hasn't made them tons of cash one way or the other. And it's not even like they put all that much effort into stabilizing the flash format at all. >Hey this shit nobody of us cares about made us tons of money and people love it. But it's not |
