Is there at least a torrent of its contents anywhere?
Every alternative pales in comparison and swfchan has many things that cant be found elsewhere.
Were I not utterly poor I would love to donate to what is a cultural treasure.

I really hope its not dead, A whois of the domain itself shows its still valid till 2024 and the
IP it references is reachable, but it doesn't seem to have any ports open other then 22, so its
either a config change thats taking a while (I think unlikely) or maybe the owner forgot or
couldn't afford to pay for whatever hosting service he or she uses for it?

I did a little more digging and a reverse lookup of the IP shows the owners definitely hosting it
through a service rather then themselves, specifically through these guys https://tranquillity.
se/tos.html I really, REALLY hope it wasn't a payment problem given how im interpreting their TOS.

If they need money they should say it. Its literally a historical archive that no one anywhere
can match. Im more than willing to work to ensure its kept.
I can understand the site going down but at least give the public a backup.
The site has done more for me than any politician or government and is the legacy of early
internet. It deserves preservation.

I hope to god its a joke post but when this was brought up elsewhere an anon said they stopped
payment and deleted everything to free up room for lolicon stuff.
It makes no sense considering they would be deleting lots of untagged lolicon in doing so and
that storage space is abundant these days.
Anyone who can host a site can get plenty of storage space.
Heck I would be willing to gift the person a harddrive just for asking. I would even become an
artist just to draw what they like if need be.
I was even learning how to make games. I wanted to make something and donate profits to the site.
