How can I run InstantStorm on win10 these days? I'd like to use flash related as a screemsaver
but for obvious reasons I can't. I installed flash 32.0.0.371 from archive.org, and tried to
install flash player X component, but was instead redireced to the Adobe EOL page.

It's been a while since I've used that and I;ve only done it in win7 but you are creating .exe
files with it, right?

I already have the .exe files. I just can't get it to run.

flash is blocked on a OS level in win10, after the removal updates hit the stacks
if you ran the update (not that you could prevent it) you're fucked
not even the swfchan overlord has figured out how to reenable the activeX version of flash on
win10 again

I just tried the conversion with Screensaver Factory and it doesn't work either. I guess it can't
be converted anymore if it runs any ActionScript.
And they logged my IP when I ran the keygen. Blocking the exe with the firewall was not enough.

I got no idea.

Would it be possible to convert it into HTML5, and then somehow turn it into a normal screensaver?
>> [_] Anonymous 07/10/21(Sat)08:31:04 No.3468528
I gave it a shot and was able to convert the .swf to .exe using FFDEC. However, while windows
does recognize it as a screensaver when the extension is changed to .scr, any attempt at running
it results in module/access errors.
You may be out of luck, simply because of >>3468496. I'd say that your best bet is trying to
convert it to a looping video, then converting that to a screensaver.

at this point you might as well take the assets and remake it from scratch as an actual
screensaver

I might try using jpexs-decompiler (maybe on Linux if it doesn't work on win10) to decompile it,
convert to HTML via Adobe Animate, and then try to run it as a screensaver. I don't if it will
work, but I'll let you guess know if it does.
